My work is dominated by the natural world and social comment. Much is underpinned by my interest in mysticism and the influence of the work of Turner, Klee, Mondrian and Monet.
In the 1980's I stayed in Paris on a number of occasions and became deeply involved in the Impressionist's vision, working mainly in acrylic and gouache. In the 1990's I spent some time in New York where my work was strongly influenced by the city's culture, with oils being the dominant medium. After returning from time in New Zealand in 2006 I pursued the natural world more deeply in my painting.
I have an honours degree from Leicester University, UK and have always had an involvement with education.
My commissioned work ranges from Corporate to individual clients and sent to many parts of the world, particularly Europe. I spend part of my time writing on various aspects of art and have been published nationally. I live and work from my home and studios in a collection of converted barns set in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, England. I currently work mainly in oils and acrylic.
